Jeff Buckley

Jeffrey Scott "Jeff" Buckley was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. Much of his early career was spent as a session guitarist in Los Angeles; however, in the early 1990s he gained popularity playing cover songs in New York, eventually leading to a record deal with Columbia. He was signed to a three album contract but released only one album, "Grace". Jeff Buckley charted once, posthumously, on Top 10 Songs for his cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". It peaked at number 7 in March 2008 and remained on the charts for two weeks. On 29 May 1997, he died at the young age of 30. He will always be remembered for his incredible voice; a voice which Rolling Stone considers to be one of the greatest of all time. (Tyler Korn, Top 10 Songs)
