Amy Jade Winehouse, born 14 September 1983, was an internationally popular singer and songwriter, known for her mix of music genres including soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz. In 2003, she released her debut album, "Frank", which quickly earned her critical acclaim in the UK. In 2006, Winehouse released "Back To Black", earning her five Grammy Awards, tying the then record for the most wins by a solo female artist in one night and solidifying her place as an international star. On 23 July 2011, at the young age of 27, Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning. She will always be remembered for her immense vocal talent and for the death that came far too early.
